News at the Division of Computing Studies
Technology innovation is key to the success of Arizona State University, our state, and the nation.
Advanced Technology Innovation Collaboratory (ATIC), located at ASU Polytechnic, facilitates
technology collaborations among ASU entities in applied research and between ASU and technology
enterprises to maximize innovation and development.
ATIC was created with two missions in mind. These are:
- To encourage interdisciplinary innovative technology based collaboration between
ASU’s faculty and small/medium size enterprises (SME).
- To facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and create
opportunities to compete for national/federal research dollars for applied research
(mission agencies).
The benefits of working with ATIC include:
- Proof of new product concept
- Product development tutoring and advising
- Innovative technical concept creation
- Student internship opportunities (ASSET program)
Business & ASU: ATIC combines the extensive industry connections and practical experience of ASU faculty with local and national small to medium-sized companies to address research
and development needs.
ASU & ASU: ATIC serves the needs of ASU faculty looking for interdisciplinary applied-research
collaboration opportunities at the federal and large corporate level.

Dr. Anshuman Razdan, a faculty member in the Division of Computing Studies and Director of
the Advanced Technology Innovation Collaboratory, was featured in two separate news articles
in the East Valley Tribune and in the Arizona Republic. Dr. Kevin Gary and
Dr. Harry Koehnemann are active participants in ATIC and we appreciate this development as well.
The Division continues to be an active partner in the economic development of Arizona and
these articles highlight these efforts! To see the articles go to...
