Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.)

The B.A.S. is a "capstone" or "inverted transfer" degree designed specifically for students who have earned community college Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees. The goal of the program is to provide students with management, leadership, critical thinking and communication skills, along with significant work in a professional specialization.

The Morrison School of Management and Agribusiness offers two concentrations for the Bachelor of Applied Science degree:

  • Consumer Products Technology
  • Food Retailing

To be admitted to the B.A.S. program, students must be within six semester hours of completing an A.A.S. or have completed an A.A.S. degree at a regionally accredited postsecondary institution. The B.A.S. program is 60 semester hours, with all of the 60 semester hours being from courses at the 300 level or higher. In addition, all ASU graduation requirements must be completed in order to earn the B.A.S. degree.
