Faculty and Staff
Tenure-track faculty in the Division of Computing Studies have a Ph.D. in their area of specialization, and the faculty as a group have amassed extensive industry experience. The Division fosters a climate that encourages faculty to play active roles in their profession, in part through student projects and research.
Our former Division head, Dr. Lindquist, has become Interim Dean of the College of Technology and Innovation,
and this past year I moved from the Tempe campus to serve as chair. Two new faculty joined the department this past year,
and the search is underway for two more faculty. While finding the right new faculty members is a challenge for any good
computing program, the bar is even higher for us since we are seeking faculty who not only have strong academic
credentials, but who also have industry experience as well. It’s a hallmark of who we are!
